Abstract: (562 Views)
Introduction: The current research was conducted with the aim of the effectiveness of parenting management training for mothers on impulsivity and empathy of primary school students with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
Research Method: The current research was a quasi-experimental method. The statistical population of the research includes mothers with primary school students with ADHD disorder who have referred to counseling clinics in Shiraz region 1 and the sample includes 30 mothers with primary school students with ADHD disorder who were selected by convenience sampling method and randomly They were divided into two groups (an experimental group and a control group). In the research, a pre-test-post-test design was used with a one-month follow-up with an experimental group and a control group. Multivariate covariance method was used to analyze the data.
Results: The results of covariance analysis showed that there was a statistically significant difference at the level of 0.95. The value of the effect size (sig) in impulsivity and empathy variable was equal to 0.031 and 0.045 respectively. In this way, it can be concluded that the independent variable (treatment method of parent management) has influenced the dependent variable (impulsivity).
Discussion: Thus, the results of the research confirm the point that parenting management training for mothers is effective on the impulsivity and empathy of primary school students with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
